January bluum Box Review (monthly subscription)

So one thing since having the boys that I am slightly totally addicted to is monthly mail subscriptions.  Currently I receive Citrus Lane, Nature Box and bluum.  I have toyed with the idea of Stork Stack...its on my "to-do list". For the month of January I am going to do a re-cap of each of my subscriptions...first on the list bluum!

I had sort-of given up on bluum.  I was not 100% satisfied in the past with my boxes and samples and the price.  Originally I was paying $33.00 for a 3-month subscription.  The box was extremely small and rarely had full size merchandise.  So, I decided to take a break.

I received an email early January that they were launching a new box - which promised larger size samples and better quality products.  My January box was $12.  Below is a list of what was included:

"Movin' and Shakin"

bluum arrives via USPS - a trakcing number is sent so you can keep a watch on your box!

1. StriVectin-SD™ Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles
(box had sample size 0.75 fl oz) Full size $22.00

2. Boiron - Oscillo - $13.00
Claims to reduce duration and severity of flu symptoms...non-drowsy, no side effects, no drug interactions, works naturally with your body....so the box says.  Not 100% sure about this one....the registered nurse in me is a bit skeptical

3. "Brain Rules for Baby" by John Medina $15.00

4. Buddy Fruits Food Pouch - $2.00
I prefer not to use the pouches.  I have given them to B & B when we have received samples, but I have never purchased them on my own.  The taste/quality is not that great and they are messy unless you put them in a bowl and spoon feed.

5. Melissa and Doug Peek-A-Boo Turtle - $10.00
Loved this! Great colors and feel

6. Mossworld - Snack Trap-Blue/Owl - $5.00
Another love!  This handy container eliminates spills of snacks and is great for little fingers

Overall I was much more pleased with January's box.  The overall value was good and I received more product then what I spent.  One thing I do miss is the blue tissue paper like in previous boxes - the brown "crinkle" paper went straight to some little mouths!
It is nice to receive new products, especially things that I would probably never think of buying or are not available where I live (closest REAL store is 35-40 minutes away with very limited baby selection).

If you are looking for new products to try, or just love getting mail like me a bluum box/subscription may be just right!  Click here to sign up!
